As a wife, do you recognize the power that your words have over your husband?
It is much easier for your husband to become the best he can be when he has a wife standing behind him that is a positive and encouraging influence.

Daily we underestimate the power of our words and how much they affect our life, and the life of our husband and family.
Realize that the power of your words either builds up or destroy your husband.
An encouraging wife is a positive person who speaks LIFE into her man, and into their family. She builds up her husband instead of tearing him down.
Have you been around someone that seems to drain the life right out of you? There is so much grumbling and complaining that you just want to go HOME.
I know I have. I used to think that people are just different, right? Not everyone is the same. Some marriages are just naturally great, while other couples struggle more to get along.
While this is all well and true, the power of our tongue over our life is amazing.
The bible says in Proverbs 18:21 that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Think about that. How can death and life be in the power of the tongue? Isn’t God in control of everything?
Absolutely.
He also gave us free will, the power to choose between good and evil.
How we speak is very often exactly how things are or will become.
In Deuteronomy chapter 30 (vs. 19), God tells the people that he has set before them life or death, blessing or cursing. He tells them to choose life!

Do you speak life over your husband? Or do your words and actions speak death over your marriage?
Such a good reminder for me. Do I dwell on negativity, or do I speak and live LIFE into my marriage? Its a choice each one of us has to make.
Do you Speak Life or Death into Your Man?

We need to be an encouragement to our husband. If he is not the kind of man that you would want him to be, build him up!
Proverbs 31:11 tells us that her husband’s heart trusts safely in her and that he is known at the gates because of her. How awesome is that?
My husband’s success is directly related to what kind of wife I am. While this can be a bit humbling, it’s also very encouraging.
Are you an encouraging wife? I’d be the first to admit that I struggle with this.
It’s easy to praise your man when everything goes well, but when he is struggling, we are in a perfect position to tell him, “I believe in you, you can do it.”
What does encouragement do to your heart? I know how much it helps me. It gives me the strength to continue on, to fight the good fight.
In the same way, wives ought to encourage their husband, lift him up and be his biggest fan. Watch how your words will change his life when you Speak life over him.
Have you ever wondered what the purpose of the blessings was that are written in the old testament?
I believe that the words that the prophets of old spoke directly caused those things to become true in the lives of those that were being blessed.
Speak blessing and life over your husband. Pray for him, and trust God to work wonders in his life.

How To Speak Life into Your Husband
1.Don’t be a critical wife.
Let everything you speak to your husband be with a humble and meek spirit, without criticizing. Criticism is one of four main faults that will tear down your marriage.
2.Let him know how much you admire him.
Often we take it for granted that he realizes what his strengths are. Search for the good in your husband, and then let him know about it. Make a point to compliment your husband each day.
3.Pray verses over your husband.
I read a story about a mother that claimed a certain verse for her son, and it ended up becoming true years down the road. For example, Proverbs 28:20 says “A faithful man shall abound with blessings.”.
Tell your husband that you know he shall abound with blessings because of his faithfulness to the Lord. Can you see how that is building him up, and speaking life over him?
It’s a powerful tool that we have, the tongue in our mouth. Use it wisely.
