30+ Bible verses about Faith

In the summer of 2018, I asked God for something I had grappled with for a while.

I asked God for  a stronger faith.

The reason I waited (and was scared) to ask this, was because I was afraid of what would come. See, God answers prayers and he often works in mysterious ways.

We often get what we ask for, but the circumstances that bring about the change in our life are usually not easy.

Very often, walking through a difficult time is what strengthens our faith in God.

I was at that point in my life where I knew I needed more faith. Living in fear and anxiety is not what God intends for us.

Faith in the bible is described as the substance  of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

God gives us the strength we need, and he provided strength for me once more as I walked through the valley of deep depression. He promises to never leave us, nor forsake us.

Today I want to share with you more than thirty bible verses about faith taken from the KJV bible.

The Bible teaches us a lot about being faithful, and while we aren’t promised an easy street, we know God will carry us through every difficult time. There are many more verses that speak about God’s faithfulness, and it’s a great topic to study.

God carried me through dark depression, and not only did my faith increase through this time, but I also am much more empathetic for people dealing with depression. Faith in God and his promises will carry us through life’s difficult trials.
